Jack Wakem Where to even begin...
Gracie Barra Orange has become like my second home, a home where I can learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the best, and train with some of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
I remember when I first came through the GB doors and was immediately welcomed in, the friendly vibe and atmosphere made it easy to get on those mats for the first time in my life.
I have made countless friends and joined a family, a family that prides itself it inspiring people to be the best they can be.
And for that I am forever grateful, thank you so much to Coach Pedro (Salgado) for starting me off on this life long journey and teaching me many lessons along the way.
So! If you’ve ever thought of joining, whether it be for your fitness, to learn self defence or lose weight, I cannot recommend GB Orange enough!

Coach Pedro (Salgado) runs an amazing class and has an amazing group of Coaches and students. Arrived for my trial day and was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome by Coach Luke. Coach Salgado took the time to explain the history of Jiu Jitsu and it’s growth into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as we know it today at the start of the lesson. Discussing the program/training schedule and explaining what I could expect in the first couple months, easing any concerns I had about my skill level or lack of knowledge. Each lesson has been an amazing experience unto itself. Everything is explained in way that makes it all very easy to follow along, the techniques and concepts are shown to us in clear and easy to understand demonstrations. Coach has a fun, lighthearted and enjoyable teaching style, that has everyone focused and entertained at the same time. If you’ve ever thought about joining, do not hesitate you will not regret your decision.
Donna KRamer When I finally plucked up the courage
It took me several months thinking about whether or not to try BJJ and I finally plucked up the courage to contact Gracie Barra Orange and attended my first class at the beginning of the year.
I was so nervous as I have never done anything like this before and it was certainly a massive step outside my comfort zone. I am SO glad I gave it a go! The coaches are so fantastic and encouraging and the other members are extremely welcoming and friendly.
I cannot express enough how much I have enjoyed my time thus far at Gracie Barra Orange. I am continually learning while I push myself past what I thought I was capable of. Is it challenging.... yes, is it worth it.... definitely!!
